Officially, Keegan Bennett is independent, but he actually represents the None of the Above Party (NOTA).
The party’s main proposed policy is a transition away from Canada’s conventional representative democracy in favour of more direct democracy. The party is officially registered as an Ontario provincial party, but not as a federal party which is why it cannot run federal candidates under its own name. Keegan Bennett ran in the Ottawa-Vanier riding during last year’s provincial election, and this time he’s officially representing the NOTA party.

During the 2014 provincial election, Vezina founded and became leader of the NOTA the Party of Ontario and ran as one of the eight founding candidates in the riding of Mississauga-Erindale.
Vezina is running on a platform of direct democracy and the use of ammonia energy. Before going to the polls, Vezina is asking voters to do their own research on the two subjects.
He ran again in the February 2016 Whitby-Oshawa byelection. In the 2018 provincial election, Vezina also ran as a candidate in Mississauga-Streetsville.

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO, CANADA, September 6, 2019 /EINPresswire.com/ — The None of the Above Direct Democracy Party leader Greg Vezina sent a letter today to the Chief Electoral Officer and Commissioner of Canada Elections asking them to ensure that the Federal Debate Commission facilitate fund a debate for party leaders not allowed in main leaders debates October 7 and 10, 2019.
The NOTA Party leader requested that the Debate Commission obey the Supreme Court of Canada ordered Charter of Rights S. 2 and S. 3 rights of all accredited party leaders and candidates to the use of public property for partisan purposes, and that the rights of voters to cast an informed vote also be protected.
